Polyphony — marchfields

Polyphony showing music recommendations and recently played albums.

Polyphony is an music player for GNOME compatible with Apple Music. An Apple Music account is required.

Unlike other Apple Music apps, Polyphony includes a build-from-scratch UI in GTK4 and Libadwaita, instead of being a wrapper for the Apple Music webapp. Furthermore, for the first time ever, true lossless playback is available on Linux.

It works as you'd expect: you can listen, search and browse tracks, and all your playlists and tracks are already there, be they from Apple Music or iCloud Library.

It also adapts to any window size:

Polyphony with Fancy Some More? open in a narrow window.

It supports scrobbling to last.fm and broadcasting your current track to Discord.

Please note: this project is not affiliate nor endorsed by Apple. "Apple Music" is a trademark of Apple. Treat Polyphony as "run under your own risk."
